The client came to me in need of a rebrand. He took the company over from his uncle who loved all things Harley, not that there's anything wrong with that, but the logo looked like it could have been a Harley subsidiary. The brand needed to feel classic with blacks and greys. Clean and simple.
The plumbing industry is one I'm not to familiar with, but I know the trades overall better than some. I had to research the competition and the inspiration and find what fit. I boiled plumbing down to it's most simple element: the wrench. I didn't want to make it obvious so after a few sketches, saw that a wrench actually fits into EZ surprisingly well. It was meant to be.
